Daniel Dung Mahama was born on Saturday, 23rd June 1979, at Tongo, Ghana. He is a devout Christian and hails from a humble background in the Upper East Region.
Mahama is actively engaged with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with his efforts aimed at grassroots mobilization and community organization.
With his love for public service, he advocates for social justice and equitable development in northern Ghana. His political activism testifies to his commitment to improving livelihoods in rural areas.

Daniel Dung Mahama Education
Daniel Dung Mahama began his formal education at Nakpanduri Presby Primary School and graduated with the Basic School Certificate in May 1997. He proceeded to Bolgatanga Secondary School and completed his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) in May 1999.
His pursuit for tertiary education led him to Accra Polytechnic, from where he graduated with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in May 2007.
Determined to upgrade his academic certificates, he enrolled in Methodist University, Accra, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in May 2014.
